Mera Pehla Vote - Desh Ke Liye
Sadhu Vaswani Institute of Management Studies for Girls organized the different
competitions from 4 th March to 6 th March 2024 on the eve of AICTE-Campaign on Mera
Vote-Desh Ke Liye.
4 th March 2024: Day 1
An essay competition was conducted on 4th March 2024 at 11:00 AM in the seminar hall of
Sadhu Vaswani Institute of Management Studies for Girls. The event was organized to
celebrate the "Mera Pehla Vote-Desh Ke Liye" initiative, which aimed to highlight the
significance of a citizen's first vote in shaping the future of the nation.
The competition was organized by Ms. Supriya Kadam and a total of 35 students from both
MBA and MCA programs participated. Each participant was given a topic related to the
theme and was tasked with writing an essay to express their thoughts on the importance of
voting.
The primary objective of the competition was to encourage young voters, particularly first-
time voters, to recognize the impact of their vote on the country's democratic process. The
event emphasized the importance of civic duty, the electoral process, and the role of every
citizen in shaping the governance of the nation. It also aimed to empower individuals,
particularly first-time voters, to
confidently and responsibly
exercise their democratic rights.
The competition was well-
received, fostering greater
awareness about voting rights
and the democratic process
among the students. It also
served as an effective platform
to engage young minds in
discussions about their crucial
role in the nation’s future.

As part of the celebration, a special poem titled "Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye" was
presented, which beautifully captured the significance of voting for the first time. The poem
emphasizes that voting is not merely a right, but a
vital responsibility towards the nation. It
highlights how every citizen, particularly the
youth, believes in and upholds the values
enshrined in our Constitution.
The poem also portrays voting as an act that
brings new hope and enthusiasm for the future. It
suggests that participating in elections is crucial
for paving the way for progress and development
in the country.
The key themes explored in the poem were:
Responsibility: Voting is portrayed as a civic
duty,
a responsibility towards the nation’s future.
Hope and Enthusiasm: The poem evokes optimism, symbolizing voting as a fresh
start and a positive force for change.
Unity and Progress: It stresses the importance of collective effort, informed decision-
making, and how these contribute to national development.
A total of 27 students from both MBA and MCA programs participated. This celebration of
"Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye" encouraged students to understand the power of their vote
and the impact it can have on shaping the country’s democratic process and future.

The Institute organized a rally on 4 th March 2024, aimed at raising awareness about the
program among students. Dr. Vaishali Patil took the lead in the rally. The primary goal of this
rally was to encourage students to Vote for India. The event took place within the college
campus, beginning at 11:00 AM and
concluding at 11:30 AM. 18

5 th March 2024: Day 2
A debate competition was held on 5 th March from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Class No.23.
The event aimed to encourage and educate first-time voters on the importance of their vote in
shaping the country’s future. Participants engaged in discussions and debates, highlighting
the significance of active participation in the democratic process. Ms. Pooja Joshi from MCA

6 th March 2024: Day 3
Dr. Kalpana welcomed all the participants to the Drawing Competition. Students showcased
their creative talents and artistic skills. The event fostered artistic expression among the
students. The competition was to encourage students to showcase their artistic talents and
creativity, develop their drawing and painting skills and provides a platform for self-
expression through art. The event also aimed collaboration among art students, recognize and
reward outstanding achievements and promote art
appreciation and enthusiasm among students and
faculties. The competition aimed to inspire students
to reach new heights in their artistic journey by
achieving these goals. A total of 20 students participated in the drawing competition.

Students competed in solo and group performances showcasing their musical skills. Judges
scored performances based on music, technique, stage presence and overall presentation. The
competition was a
success showcasing

talents and
entertaining the
audience. A total of
