Sadhu Vaswani Institute of Management Studies for Girls
The Sadhu Vaswani Institute of Management Studies for Girls [SVIMS], recognised by AICTE [All India Council for Technical Education] and affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University [Formely known as University of Pune] was set up in 2010 as a Linguistic Minority [Sindhi] Institute.
SVIMS is a logical culmination of our Revered Founder’s [Sadhu Vaswani] dream of empowering women students to take on leadership roles in society. The institution is inspired by the faith that, “In the new unfolding of India’s destiny, women have to play an important part”. As Sadhu Vaswani often said: The woman-soul will lead us upward, on!

SVIMS is one of the flagship institutions of the MIRA Education Board, functioning under the aegis of the internationally renowned Sadhu Vaswani Mission, under the mentorship of Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani, one of India’s most respected spiritual leaders. Our lineage from the Mission gives us our unique identity, our special values and our fundamental moorings in ethics and fair practices.
Our goal is to help produce a new generation of women managers who will not only be self-confident and sensible, but also ethical and sensitive to the tremendous challenges they will face in the corporate world. We hope to create a new generation of successful women professionals, who will combine idealism and pragmatism in their approach to the challenges of personal and professional life.
ISO 9001:2015 Certificate
The spirit of SVIMS is to establish a culture that promotes excellence and student satisfaction in both academic and administrative fields. This enthuses us to relentlessly improve quality and encourage innovation. In 2013 we submitted ourselves to the rigours of quality audit and improvement through the ISO certification process. The Institute was awarded the ISO [9001:2008] Certificate on 17th Jan 2014. Subsequently we have been certified as ISO 9001:2015 Institute under the new Quality Management Standards. Stakeholders are today the beneficiaries of integral planning systems, rationalised and standardised procedures for administrative development of our MBA Course.
AISHE Certificate
To portray the status of higher education in the country, Ministry of Education has endeavoured to conduct an annual web-based All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) since 2010-11. The survey covers all the Institutions in the country engaged in imparting of higher education. Data is being collected on several parameters such as teachers, student enrolment, programmes, examination results, education finance, infrastructure.
Indicators of educational development such as Institution Density, Gross Enrolment Ratio, Pupil-teacher ratio, Gender Parity Index, Per Student Expenditure will also be calculated from the data collected through AISHE. These are useful in making informed policy decisions and research for development of education sector.
COLLEGE OF SUBSTANCE AWARD
The Institute was conferred a recognition award, College of Substance Award instituted by the Natarajan Education Society(NES). The Award was presented on March 5, 2014 during NES Innovation Awards Ceremony held at College of Engineering, Pune.
