Sadhu Vaswani Institute of Management Studies for Girls (SVIMS), Pune, in association with Savitribai Phule Pune University under the Quality Improvement Scheme (QIP), successfully organized a One Day State Level Workshop cum Seminar on “Cyber Security and Cyber Hygiene” on 7th March 2026.
The program commenced with the inaugural ceremony, which included lamp lighting and welcome address by Dr. B. H. Nanwani, Director, SVIMS, who emphasized the importance of cyber awareness in today’s digital academic ecosystem.
The workshop featured expert sessions delivered by distinguished resource persons from academia and industry who shared their knowledge and practical insights on various aspects of cyber security.

Dr. Rutuja Kadam delivered a session on “AI Driven Cyber Security and Privacy,” where she explained the role of Artificial Intelligence in identifying cyber threats and demonstrated tools such as Privacy Badger and VirusTotal for enhancing online privacy and security. Ms. Liza Vanjani discussed important aspects of cyber awareness, safe digital practices, and protection against common cyber-attacks.Mr. Kayomarz Anklesvaria presented an engaging session titled “Cost of a Click: Cyber Hygiene in the Age of Intelligent Threats,” highlighting the risks associated with careless online behaviour. The final session by Dr. Harold D’Costa on “Cyber Hygiene in the Age of Cloud and Remote Work” focused on secure cloud practices, data protection, and cyber resilience in remote working environments.
The workshop concluded with a valedictory session and certificate distribution. The event provided valuable insights and practical knowledge to participants, helping them understand the importance of cyber security and adopt effective cyber hygiene practices in their academic and professional lives.
