As a prelude for the Swachh Bharat Diwas (2 nd  October), our NSS volunteers and students
visited and actively participated in the Swachhata Mohim at Bhavani Peth Pune, on Monday
25/09/2023. This cleanliness drive was conducted in collaboration with ‘Swachh Sanghatana’
under the guidance of Mr. Sandip Kadam-Assistant Commissioner, Solid Waste Management,
Mr. Avinash Sakpal, Assistant Commissioner-Circle No 3 Bhavani Peth, Mrs. Asmita Tambe
– Assistant Commissioner Bhavani Peth Circle Office. MCA & MBA students reached at the
location at 9.15 am. The initiative started under the able guidance of Mr. Ishak Shaikh- a
social worker. Mr. Sanket Bansode -Prabhag Coordinator & team along with the workers
from ‘SWaCH Pune Seva
Sahakari Sanstha Ltd.’ joined
in this drive. Students
collected the solid waste such
as papers, glass bottles, plastic
wastes, tins, bags, cans,
bushes etc. and added into the
small trolly. They also created
awareness among the
populace of the Bhavani Peth
regarding the waste disposal.
During the rally students
raised slogans like ‘Aapala
Kachara, Aapali Jababdari’,
‘Swachh Bharat, Sundar
Bharat’. They swept the area
of about 4 KMs.
