Meri Maati Mera Desh- Amrit Kalash Sankalp

On 23 rd  Sept 2023, we celebrated the NSS Day by going down in history to understand the
aims and working of India’s National Service Scheme (popularly called as NSS). Ms.
Mokshita Gaur elaborated on the duties and responsibilities of NSS volunteers and
importance of NSS day. She explained the need for students to engage in community
programmes.

On the same day students celebrated Amrit Kalash by taking out a procession carrying the
Kalash(pot) with Mitti (soil) on
their heads and excitedly shouting
out slogans like Jay Jawan Jay
Kisan. The soil in the pot was later
mixed in the plant beds at SVIMS.
All NSS volunteers took the pledge
for integration and growth of India.
The event was conducted under the
guidance of NSS Co-ordinator
Dr. Kalpana Salunkhe.
