Dr. Trupti Shankar Ghodke spoke on nation-wide campaign “Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the
Rain” undertaken by Ministry of Jal Shakti – D/o Water Resources, RD & GR, Government
of India. The efforts and initiatives taken by Paani Foundation, founded by Mr. Aamir Khan

and withered crops. This crisis is largely man-made. Paani Foundation has been closely working
with the villages, Government, and people in rural Maharashtra to make the villages drought free
through collective action and shramdaan. The students were shown two videos to enlighten the
students on the methods adopted by Paani Foundation in different villages to collect and
conserve water.
