Changes and Trends that Technology has brought about in HR

Mr. Gurpreet Singh, Senior HRBP at Sterlite pointed out how the level of tech-centricity and Work from Home due to Covid has led to the creation of new roles in HR, and below are the career options that have come up or will come up by the year 2025:
1. Starting with those that require a lower level of tech-centricity:
a. Head of Business Behaviour
b. Gig economy managers. Human-Machine Teaming Manager
2. Those that would require more tech-centricity:
a. Strategic HR Business Continuity Director
b. Chatbot and Human Facilitator.
c. WFH Facilitator
d. Climate Change Response Leader
Between 2025 and 2030 roles will emerge as:
● Distraction Prevention Coach
● Chief Purpose Planner
● Director of Well-being
● Employee Enablement Coach
While these positions will emerge at senior levels, simultaneously there will arise a need for junior-level roles in the same verticals. The students can pick up these roles.
