Exhibition on the life and contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel – ‘Sardar Patel – The Architect of Unification’

27th October 2022

An Exhibition as shared by AICTE, under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ (AKAM)’ as decided by the National Implementation Committee (NIC), was displayed for the Staff and Students. Dr. Divya Lakhani, HOD, shared her insights on the document. She also shared some incidents from Sardar Patel’s life that inspire us to continue on his path of unification of India

and take our country forward. Harmony, tolerance and respect for each other must be practiced as a way of life.



Quiz on National Unity Day

28th October 2022

A quiz on the life of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel was conducted. The quiz covered the aspects on the life, the teachings, the beliefs of The Iron Man of India. It also covered aspects of commencement and the ideology behind declaration of National Unity Day. The quiz was much appreciated as it brought forth many facts about Sardar Patel as well as National Unity Day.



Video on Life of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel

29th October 2022

A video was played for the staff and students in the Seminar Hall. The video depicted Sardar Patel’s efforts and struggle on how he united India(How Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel united India? History of Reorganisation of States in India | UPSC – YouTube). During Independence, India was divided into 565 princely states. He united these states together to form Union of India. Sardar Patel had served as first Deputy Prime Minister, first Home Minister, Information Minister, and Minister of State for Independent India.



Run for Unity

31st October 2022

The SVIMS Staff participated in Run for Unity, as per the directives of Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra.

The team covered an area of 840 metres, starting from the main gate of the Institute, turning towards Sadhu Vaswani Bridge, then going on the road to Sant Gagde Maharaj Vasti and returning to the Institute via the main gate of Inlaks and Budrani Hospital



Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge

31st October 2022

The students and Staff took the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge, re-affirming to keep the spirit of unification alive and contribute towards the progress of our country as responsible citizens.
