Executive Summary: 

The celebrations started off with the singing of the Rajya Geet. Ms. Diksha Behrani from MBA-1 welcomed everyone to the event and explained the importance of Maharashtra Diwas. In her remarks, she stated that the formation of Maharashtra state occurred on 1 May 1960, 106 martyrs gave their lives for this formation. Since then, Maharashtra Diwas is also observed as Workers Day. This event allowed students to express Marathi folk dance-Lavani. Ms. Diksha Beharani ,Ms. Bhagyashree Jagwani and Ms. Kajal Yadav performed a group Lavani dance. Ms. Samiksha Bathe and Ms. Anushka Nikalje performed solo Lavani dances. Then event concluded with a fashion show based on traditional Marathi attire.
