Students and Staff celebrated Independence Day by unfurling the National Flag at St. Mira’s College for Girls. The occasion was marked by speeches by Ms. Dipeshri Kadam, Ms. Shraddha Ghute and Ms. Shivani Deokar. They spoke about our freedom fighters, the true meaning of freedom and recalled sacrifices of some of the youngest male and female freedom fighters. After the wonderful speeches Ms. Smarnika Wankhede, a student of MBA IInd year sung melodious patriotic songs. Her rendition of ‘Ae mere watan ke logo’ left many with tear filled eyes.
